You are a mom of boys, a business woman and entrepreneur – Could you tell us a bit more about your personal business and share advices to mothers with a day job, dreaming of setting up their own business on the side?
I’ve always believed that its important to have a passion in life. A hobby or an interest that makes you happy and look forward to each day. For me, believing in this passion has led to starting a fashion business some 10 years ago Luxe Fashion Boutique, a retail store based in Sydney and online website (www.luxefashionboutique.com.au) specialising in Australian fashion for the modern woman. It is the culmination of years of experience between my mum, sister and myself. We had the same vision for our store and shared the same passion for fashion, including having similar personal styles (quite often my mum and I end up twinning in a similar outfit without the intention!), so we came together to bring our dream to life.
My advice is to make your dream a reality even if it takes you longer than anticipated, team up with like-minded individuals and make it happen.

What convinced you to start consigning your items with StyleTribute? Your experience so far?
I’ve been a fan of Style Tribute since it began 4 years ago when I went to the first pop-up at the Limehouse where I bought a Chanel vintage top which I still have today!
What is vintage for you? How do you think it will evolve in the next 10 years?
I love vintage fashion and I think I was born in the wrong era! The craftsmenship and intricate details from the curation of garments such as the 1920s beaded flapper dresses is something that is so hard to find today.
I hope that in the next 10 years people will continue to grow to understand the value of vintage fashion. I think they are many misconceptions that vintage is old and pre-worn but there is so much more to discover once you see the value in the pieces.
What is the story behind your favorite vintage fashion pieces?
I collect vintage pieces from all around the world that I visit, from the markets of Paris to the vintage shops of LA, I love looking for that special vintage piece. One of my favourites is an Oscar de la Rente lace dress which I bought from Paris many years ago which I still treasure. I also have a 1920s beaded dress which I will keep forever!
